Md. Raihan Islam is currently working as a Lecturer in the Department of Physics at Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET), Bangladesh. He completed his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in 2019 and Master of Science (M.Sc.) in 2022 in Physics from the University of Rajshahi. His academic background is rooted in both theoretical and applied physics. His major fields of research include Computational Physics, Medical and Radiation Physics, and Atomic and Molecular Physics. He has a growing publication record, with journal articles published in reputed international journals including Materials Advances, ChemistryOpen, AIP Advances, and Physica Scripta. His recent research focuses on first-principles studies of structural, electronic, and optical properties of advanced materials. He also has experience in modeling scattering processes involving leptons and also in particle and heavy ion transportation coding system (PHITS). He has also been involved in studies related to public health physics, such as COVID-19 transmission modeling. He is committed to the integration of research with teaching and fosters a research-oriented learning environment for his students.
