Tahrina Tanzim Tithi is a faculty member of the Department of Humanities at Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET), where she has  on 1 July 2026.

She holds both a Bachelor of Social Sciences (BSS) and a Master of Social Sciences (MSS) in Social Welfare from the University of Dhaka. 

Prior to joining RUET, she served as a Lecturer in the Department of Social Work at the University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) from 10 September 2024 to 30 June 2026.

Her academic and professional interests lie at the intersection of social welfare, human development, and contemporary social issues. Her primary research interests include Public Health, Mental Health and Well-being, Palliative Care, Women and Child Care, and Educational Development. She is particularly interested in interdisciplinary research addressing social vulnerabilities, health inequalities, and human well-being. Her research also focuses on development challenges affecting individuals, families, and communities, with particular attention to women and children. Through teaching and research, she aims to contribute to socially responsive, inclusive, and evidence-based approaches to human and community development.

At RUET, she is committed to strengthening the integration of social science perspectives within engineering education and contributing to the university’s broader academic and research mission.
